To the Editor:
I attended the meeting held at the Best Western on Thursday afternoon with regards to our water situation. I was impressed with the amount of work that Paul Gevetkoff and Jim Inkster have put into the research to make it possible and potential costs. Their presentation was clear and very informative, but for some reason I didn't come away convinced that our city council take the situation as serious as the citizens do. Council needs to realize that most of us are more concerned with water than we are with entertainment or art. Not to mention that water issues mean growth and development issues as well. We will remember when the next civic election comes around in 2014. As a sideline I have to commend Mr. Duncan Malkinson, the only one from council who was dressed like a professional, showing (to me anyway) that he actually takes his responsibility as councillor seriously. I am not saying that the way a person is dressed makes him better, but it impressed me. Good going Duncan, keep it up.
