Power outage in Dawson Creek

B.C. Hydro is reporting that significant portions of Dawson Creek are without power.
Portions of Dawson Creek east of 8th Street and north of the traffic circle are without power, according to their website.

The power is expected to come back on at 1:30 p.m. Approximately 3,000 B.C. customers have been affected.

The cause of the power outage is reported as equipment failure, but no other information was given.
A secondary power outage, reported to have been caused by a transformer burn out, has affected 19 customers in the southern portion of the city east of 8th Street For them, power is expected back on by 2 p.m.
