An intoxicated woman tried to rob the Fast Gas on Sunday.
Dawson Creek RCMP responded to a reported robbery at the Alaska Avenue convenience store.
A 22 year old intoxicated woman enter the store and asked the cashier for cigarettes. She was asked for ID to confirm she was of age. The woman could not locate her ID and is reported to have gotten upset and threatened the cashier with physical violence. She made her way behind the counter, stole multiple packs of cigarettes and attempted to get into the locked cash register while announcing she was going to rob the store.
The cashier and patrons that were in the store at the time called 911and when police arrived, they pointed out the intoxicated woman as she fled the store.
The woman was arrested without incident. She is being held in custody until her court appearance later today.
