Police investigate jewelery store robbery

Dawson Creek RCMP dog units were seen searching the alleyway behind Lothar Triebel jewelers after an alleged robbery took place there on Monday morning.

Dawson Creek RCMP are currently investigating a robbery at a local jewelery store.

One suspect is in custody and another is still being sought, according to an officer.

The alleged robbery occurred at Lothar Triebel jewelery store at around 10 a.m. this morning.

One person, believed to be a suspect in the robbery, was seen taken away in an ambulance.

A police dog was used in the search. Police officers were also seen stopping cars asking whether passengers had seen a person dressed all in black.

Anyone with information about the alleged robbery is encouraged to call the RCMP at 250-784-3700 or anonymously at 1-800-242-8477.
